Grilled Ham Steak

Glazed ham steaks and ripe peaches hit the grill together for a fast, sweet and smoky summer plate.

Ingredients

The Plate

  • 2 Lakeshire smoked ham steaks
  • 2 ripe peaches, halved
  • 1 tbsp oil

Maple Glaze

  • 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp cider vinegar
  • Cracked black pepper

Instructions

    Heat. Heat the grill to medium-high and brush the grates clean.

    Glaze. Warm the maple, Dijon, butter and vinegar in a small pan until glossy.

    Grill Ham. Grill the ham steaks about 3 minutes a side to warm through and mark, brushing with glaze.

    Grill Peaches. Oil the peach halves and grill cut-side down until soft and caramelized, about 3 minutes.

    Finish. Plate the ham and peaches, spoon over the rest of the glaze, and finish with cracked pepper.
